When You Choose To Outsource, find The Talent In Southeast Asia!

Learning about entrepreneurs and trying to contribute for their sustainable growth, I have realized something. It is that – product and services needs to be marketed & showcased no matter what is the target audience and to whom it may concern.

Apart from the efforts done to create online business presence, people also try to take the growth plunge in other ways. They try to delegate the mundane jobs and multiply the efforts with the means of outsourcing.

The concept is brilliant, no doubt. How fulfilling it can be for business when some non-core and less essential jobs are outsourced and performed in low cost.

But, where is that right place to outsource. It is recommended to look for talent in Southeast Asia where the economies are in comparative low rates.

“Our company is a job creator for many. We believe in making long-term relationships with the people we hire. We look for people who may or may not be productive but should carry high morale. Those who are able to communicate with our clients and understand their culture, above all.” It is the way most of the people around the world think.

The first step to taking for outsourcing is analyze the tasks list.

What you want to outsource

Every business involves a dozen of repetitive tasks that directly or indirectly affect the working of core operations and customer satisfaction. If it takes time to think what activities to outsource, start with a simple list of tasks:

  • Secondary Research
  • Data entry or manual entry tasks
  • Customer support via email, chat, or call
  • Creating marketing collaterals such as infographics, and logos
  • Back-end processes or website development support services

And, while you explore your needs, keep the following criteria in your mind:

Reduced cost: The people who can be trained to perform the facets of a job without pre-defined talent demand less wages.

Simplicity of the task: The simplified way you adopt of explaining what you want, the more likely you will get it.

Cross cultural communication: It is essential for the outsourcing company to be able to understand your language and culture; only a company with common culture can understand your requirements.

Land of skilled workforce

Begin by setting your target on the tech-friendly countries such as India, Philippines, Vietnam, Malaysia, and Indonesia. There countries are developed in terms of education and IT infrastructure. Having an established outsourcing market, they have a broader contractor base and low labor cost than others. Therefore, Southeast Asia is considered as the land of skilled workforce when you plan to outsource.

Source of qualified professionals

In the countries of Southeast Asia, it is quite common for students to take unpaid or less paid internships. Their purpose is simply to learn wherein companies get the work done from qualified and fresh graduates without paying extra money. As a rare case scenario, a small salary of $50 or $80 can benefit to cash strapped student. Being a small price to pay for educated labor, it creates a win-win situation for both the student and the company.

As a company or professional who is looking for talent at low cost, can approach universities of Southeast Asia providing internship programs. Or, can prefer hiring an experienced Business Process Outsourcing company from Tire II and III cities that talks about providing full spectrum of IT enabled services. It will be beneficial to you in terms of cost and long-lasting commitment by an experienced team of professionals.

FYI: Your approach to these talent-based companies and universities has opened employment opportunities for millions of graduates. It is very likely for a graduate level employee to show higher commitment and efficiency in your allocated tasks.

Bottom Line

No matter whom you choose to outsource for your business tasks, clear your expectation and requirements from day one. If you know where you are headed, your experience will be better and success will look closer than ever.
